Bottom Dollar on Jefferson Avenue in Newport News has marked down everything in the store by 25 percent as of Wednesday as a first step toward closing. Alcohol and tobacco products are excluded from the sale.
Four Bottom Dollar stores will close in Hampton Roads, including two in Newport News, one in Portsmouth (Churchland) and another in Virginia Beach. Read more about the closings, here.
I personally shop bottom dollar by my house once and awhile and it is one of the stores listed to close, and hope that they reduce by 25% ASAP! HOWEVER, I am not to thrilled about this!! Mainly because this will affect so many people! All those workers! It is SOOOO very hard to find work around here! For the "average Joe"!
